the good in each day
I really am going to try and focus on what is good in the world around me. Rather than focus on the crap. So with that said...
My enjoyment yesterday was driving up to Atlanta, in the car by myself, singing at the top of my lungs. (If you know anything about me, you know I can't do this in a car with anyone. Especially Craig, he lovingly hates my singing. I'm ok with it really. I swear I can belt it when I'm by myself though.) I met Craig for dinner when he got off work, before I left to come up here.
Craig: Did you make a CD to drive to?
Me: (very excited) Yeah, it's a good one!
Craig: What's it got on it?
Me: You remember the song 'Coming to America' by Neil Diamond?
Craig: (after a moments blank stare) Yeah.
Me: A little bit of that, the Electric Slide, Cassie, Chris Brown
Craig: You have got to be kidding me.
I don't know many people my age that listen to Neil Diamond. Definitely not my husband. But it reminds me of sitting in the living room with my Daddy listening to his records. And how does the Electric Slide song not pump you up? Seriously.
My enjoyment from today was our new countertops are in!! Huge thing! I'll have to take pictures this weekend and post them. The tiling guy is coming tomorrow for the bathrooms. And mom and I are going shopping for fabric for my scrapbook room. If anyone knows where I can find some lime green (pastel lime green actually) fabric, holla at a gurl. :) I'm really letting myself stress over this room. I can't commit on a freakin color for the walls. One day it's blue, the next its green, and then there are million different shades of blue and green to choose from. I had no problem with the hallway, the bedrooms, the kitchen, the den, the cabinets. But this is causing me serious issues. But I suppose there is more to life than what color you're going to paint four walls.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Pastel lime? Is that possible? Anywho....in kennesaw there is a store called Joann's Fabric. I don't know if you've tried it or not but they have a ton of fabric. Good luck...

ok so maybe i didn't explain it that well. just got with it. :) it's like a lime green but toned down. the paint color i'm trying to match it to is called sour lime. if that makes any sense. we have a joann's out this way, we're going to go tomorrow. thanks kp!
OH MY GOODNESS!! We have the same taste in TV and MUSIC!! I LOVE that Neil Diamond song!! I even watched the movie it was in (when I was little - with my father of course)!! I really don't think a July 4th is complete without that song. Other artists that remind me of riding in the car with my parents - John Denver, James Taylor, Kenny Rogers and Barry Manilow. I know all their songs from at least one album. I know...I really am patheic.
Um....I'm gonna need another update please...thanks!
